After waiting over a year for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera to be released it was finally announced a couple weeks ago that it would be in stores around November.  Before Canon made the announcement, like many others, I thought this camera was never going to be out in the market.  I checked dpreview.com weekly just hoping to hear something about it but every time it was rumored to be announced at a photo convention nothing was mentioned.  I even had thoughts of possibly switching to Nikon and purchasing the Nikon D3 or even the older version of the Canon 5D. Some reason I decided to wait it out and I am glad I did, the photo above is a screen capture from Vincent Laforet’s video REVERIE created with the 5D Mark II and the quality is unbelievable.  Vincent borrowed the camera for a weekend and put together the video showcasing the capabilities of what the new 5D Mark II can do. While this camera is not cheap and probably much more than I should be spending for one I think it will definitely be worth the investment.
