A while back I posted a video about the vendor client relationship, this one is along the lines of that one but slightly different.  I definitely can relate to this video and have been through much too familiar situations as I am sure many of you have.

Over the past couple weeks I worked on some new features / changes for mtvmusic.com.  This site is constantly being updated to help enhance the overall experience of the site and I’m glad I get to work on all the additional features that come through.  Some of the changes include the a new more prominent home page marquee, a search drop down menu that makes it easier to find what you are looking for, and also changes to the video page.

I know I am a little behind on this, actually who am I tricking. This is practically over but if you live in New York City or Greater New York you still have 2 days left to check outAdvertising Week held at the Nokia Theatre.  This event has been going on all week but work has been so hectic that I over looked this event and I wish I didn’t.  The daily events posted on their site have been filled with various speakers, agencies, etc. I wish I would have left some days open to attend, maybe next year.  But if anyone has a flexible schedule be sure to check this out, the registration is only $49 to attend most seminars and $25 for students.

Since summer has official ended and change is in the air, I decided it was time to change the look of my site sametomorrow.com as well.  Although the layout is somewhat the same, the color scheme has changed as well as some other small tweaks here and there. I cleaned up the CSS quite a bit, well as far as I could for someone who doesn’t code and also a couple new projects are up. Any comments, suggestions, hates, feel free to let me know. Thanks.

Today Apple announced their new line of iPod Nanos and introduced a new feature, the video camera.  As usual, the new iPod looks really nice and slick but I’m not sure if the video camera was really necessary. The highest resolution it films at is 640 by 480 pixels and has a couple of effects such as sepia, black & white, x-ray and film grain.  While it may seem cool since the size is so small, I think I would prefer to use a regular video camera and stick to my iPod for music only unless of course I get the iPhone (yes, I’m probably the only one without it). There are other new features that I think suit the iPod better such as the Nike Pedometer. The Pedometer counts every step you take and would be great for those who work out or walk around with their iPod’s in their pockets like I do and probably most of NYC.  There is also a FM radio, Live Pause and iTunes Tagging.  This feature allows you to pause a song on the radio live and tag it or continue to play it at a later time and even rewind up to 15 min.

This is still about a month away but I’m posting about it so anyone who is interested can keep their schedule open to attend this years Open House New York.  OHNY will run from October 10-11 and although they have not released the schedule of locations yet, I’m sure there will be many interesting places to see and visit; some that maybe unfamiliar and others that are usually just off limits to the public 363 days of the year.  For those unfamiliar to this event, OHNY is basically a weekend of visiting private or exclusive locations in New York. Some people will allow the public to visit their homes in groups of 20 or so, secret tunnels or subway areas that are closed off will be accessible for a certain amount of time and even places that are still under construction will open up for a weekend tour.  To give a quick example of what you can expect I attended the event two years ago and one of the locations was The High Line. At the time the place was closed off to the public and barley into construction no one knew too much about it but they allowed the public to get a glimpse and walk through it while it was still covered in wild flowers, grass and rusted railroad tracks.
