Colossal Media
I was walking around East Village last week and spotted someone painting a giant mural on the side of a building. I noticed he was only using regular paint brushes and had a photo as reference of the image he was creating which is really incredible considering the scale of the whole building. I did some researching and stumbled across Colossal Media which is really similar to what I saw and they even have videos of their process.

Late last year when I was in Shanghai I saw some construction going on for the 2010 Shanghai Wold Expo. The architecture for each country was unfinished but still looked pretty amazing. Ups And Downs Of Being A Perfectionist
In no way am I perfect but I do find myself most of the time attempting to be a perfectionist. Sometimes it’s a great thing and other times it’s more unnecessary work. Smashing Magazine has a great article focused on this subject. Whether you consider yourself to be a perfectionist or not, this is an interesting read.

Amazing video directed by Patrick Jean of One More Production in Paris. Video is basically a bunch of old game characters taking over NYC one pixel at time.

I’m not sure how authentic this video is but supposedly it was created by a product manager from the Photoshop division of Adobe. In this video the user walks us through a new feature called “Content Aware Fill”. This new feature allows users to cut out parts of an image and before you know it that section is filled in seamlessly by either the sky or surrounding part of the image. Rumors are circulating that this may debut in April for the Photoshop CS5 release so I guess it’s only a matter of time before we find out…
